Hi Everyone,
My name is Blissful Benny and I'm a very handsome and adorable bichon boy of five. My foster Mom says I'm the sweetest and most optimistic boy you'll ever meet and that I'm definitely a 'people pup.' (I think she means that I'm a cuddle-bug and lover boy who simply enjoys people.) I like the big ones called 'adults' and the little ones called 'kids.' (I also like the ones in between!)
When I first meet new people I walk up to them to ask for attention. (Mom says I get very excited and want to jump but she's teaching me that patiently waiting is better!) Then when they pet or rub me I just smile this amazing smile for all the world to see. Mom says my smile will light up any room and it's obvious that I'm a beautiful little guy inside and out.
But I'm certainly not a couch potato. Oh no, not me! I'm incredibly animated and happy. Say the word 'walk' or 'treat' and watch me jump for joy. Or if you want to wrestle, well I'm happy to oblige! (Mom says I make her laugh at my antics and the shear joy I feel having a special person around.)
I'm a true gentleman and would never growl -- and only bark (appropriately) when someone comes to the door. I'm totally housebroken (no typo there!) and usually come when I'm called. (Now you may think that all FurKids do that, however, I AM a bichon so I'm kind of an independent thinker. And most of the time I think I'll oblige). I also have had excellent training at some time in my life. My manners are the kind that you write about and when it comes to walking (one of my favorite things!) I know exactly what to do. I heel and walk beautifully with my tail high and flying. I'm happy to walk and enjoy the out of doors.
Another thing I like to do is go for rides in the car. Of course, I'm a gentleman in the car too. Exploring the world and being someone's companion is what I love doing most of all.
I get along great with my doggy foster brothers and sisters and would love to have at least one other furkid in my forever home, along with having someone around to love and enjoy.
So if you are looking for a handsome lovebug of a pup who wants to be your lifetime companion, please ask for me as I'm applying for the job.
