Coco's Story...
Introducing Coco.

Coco's rescue story began a few months ago when we were at the shelter in West Memphis, Arkansas. We went to the overfull shelter to see who we could help and came across Coco's mom, Rosie. She was patiently sitting in her kennel, waiting for someone to come along and help her. Rosie tugged at our heartstrings, but we knew that finding a foster for a very pregnant dog would be a tall order. But here's one of the beautiful things about rescue, there are many kind and loving people who want to help. One of those families stepped up for Rosie and her soon-to-be family, and we headed back to West Memphis early one Subday morning and brought home Rosie.

Then, along with Rosie's foster, we all went into puppy watch mode. A few weeks later 11 puppies were born! This new family of 12 thrived in the safety of their foster home. We have recently separated them into different (equally loving) foster homes so we can get to know them a little better and place them in their forever homes.

Coco will not be ready to join her forever home until the end of April, but in the interest of thoughtfully reviewing and considering all potential families for these babies, we decided to go ahead and introduce them to the world. Coco's adoption fee is $500 and will include spay/neuter, microchip, up to date vaccinations, de-worming, health certificate and transportation from Memphis to your area upon adoption via Alpha Dog Pet Transport.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coco, a Brattleboro Boxer/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Boxer/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Boxer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
