Facts about Abby

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Abby is a sweet, but shy female, who needs a kind and compassionate human companion. She is missing most of one of her hind legs. She gets around okay though. She is very cute – she’s a small brown tabby, with a white bib and paws. She is a little older – around ten years old. Abby was either feral, or extremely frightened when she first came to the cat sanctuary, but eventually tamed and is now quite affectionate. She will greet you and talk to you. She wants to be petted and cuddled. She can still be a little skittish – she wants attention really bad, then sometimes gets a little scared when you reach for her. This might be a result of being disabled or some past trauma. But if you are firm in your approach and just start petting her, you will see how much she loves the attention and how sweet she is. Because of her disability, she is considered a “Special Needs” kitty, so needs to live with someone sensitive to her emotional state and to monitor her partial leg. Abby gets along okay with the other cats, if they don’t bully her, so would be okay in a multi-cat household where the cats not aggressive. She would also be happy as the only cat in the house.
