JILL's Story...
Hi My name is JILL. I was rescued from the Rocky Mount, NC Animal Shelter which is a high kill shelter and we are only given 7 days for a chance for adoption. Me and 21 dogs were due out on the same day and I just knew I was doomed. No one ever came to the shelter to come look at us nor adopt any of my doggy friends. Until the word got out that all 22 dogs were going to be killed and several rescues up and down the east coast worked so hard and they got me and all my friends out. I was so happy and couldn't be happier. I have been fully vetted, shots, heartworm tested and positive but on medication and will get the heartworm treatment. I am also microchipped and spayed and lives with my foster family. Did I mention my foster family lives on a farm and I get to play with all kinds of animals such as pigs, horses, goats, cats? I am happy to say that I am very nice to them. If you are interested in adopting me, I am $250 and can go to www.lastdaydogs.com to submit an adoption application or email lastdaydogs@yahoo.com for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

JILL, a Richmond American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Richmond, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
