KANE's Story...
KANE came to us from Lee County Animal Shelter.See he was an owner surrender and the previous owner said he was dog aggressive and needed to be put down. When our foster volunteer heard this she would not accept that and went to see for herself because his the beautiful picture of Kane and his sweet eyes did not say this at all. When she arrived to his kennel, he was so happy to see her. He pushed himself up to the cage and was begging for her to pet him. All of the sudden, a staff member approached her with needle and rubber glove in hand saying it was time for her to go and was she going to adopt him. She could not believe her eyes that they were putting this beautiful boy down so a few strings were pulled we got him out just in the nick of time. Thank goodness we had a volunteer already there at the shelter. Since then, he has settled in nicely and living with another foster dog. He is the biggest baby and believes he is a lap dog. Kane is fully vetted, neutered and heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website www.lastdaydogs.com to submit an application or you may email us at lastdaydogs@yahoo.com. Adoption fee $150

Why Adoption is a Great Option

KANE, a Williamsburg Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff for sale in Williamsburg, or seeking a Mastiff dog from a breeder in Williamsburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Williamsburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Williamsburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff breeders who help with Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Williamsburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
