I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
SWEET, MELLOW, LOVING, HOUSE TRAINED, APPROX. 7 YRS OLD
Lucky is his name, and you could say that he was Lucky that we had an opening and were able to take him into our program, but also unlucky that his owner had to move to a cold climate for work and due to Lucky’s arthritis she did not feel that it was right to take him with her. He is not in any pain or on any medication just Glucosamine for his joints. We are just hoping he will be lucky in the end with a wonderful home.
Lucky is a very sweet boy and does have a little limp due to some bad knees and should not be allowed to jump on and off furniture but that’s OK with him because he is fine sleeping in his doggie bed unless you are on the sofa then he wants to be at your side sleeping. He is a very kind gentle soul that gets along great with the other dogs in his household. He is completely housebroken, currently using a doggie door and he has free roam of the house and backyard when his foster mom is at work. His favorite pass-time is to sunbathe in the yard, and he especially loves walking on a leash. He is about 8.5 lbs. He did tend to chase the cats in his first foster home. He didn’t intend to hurt them but it was a fun game. So if your cats are not easily amused he may not be the right fit.
Lucky is very sweet, loves to snuggle, is a complete lap dog and becomes very devoted to his owner. He wants nothing more than to sit beside you. Somehow he seems to always get there and you don’t even realize he has! One thing for sure, say its “dinner time” and he springs into a puppy mode. Runs all around, dances, tail wags, just goes crazy for food! And just wait until he looks at you with those big eyes, he knows just how to get his way! He does bark at noises that he hears around the house, mostly the front door, but will stop when told. Great little guard dog! His previous owner told us that he was not comfortable around young children.
Lucky takes a bit to warm up to new people, but once he offers that 1st kiss, you’re in like flin! If you want a gentle little boy that will be your bestie, he is the one.
Lucky is neutered, has had a complete blood panel and dental, is heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative. He is current on vaccines and microchipped. Lucky’s adoption fee is being sponsored by an anonymous donor. You still must meet all our adoption requirements which are listed on our website and complete an application. The process will be the same as if you were paying an adoption fee. http://www.adoptapet.com/chihuahuarescueandrehab
