My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our special, super cute guy Henry!

Henry was originally spotted running the streets of Los Angeles and for days A Dog's Life and a number of volunteers worked to find and safely catch him. Thankfully Henry loves dogs and he followed a couple of women who were out walking their dogs back to their house and they were able to shut him into their yard. They contacted animal control who came to get him and then saw our flyers and let us know where he was. We were so thankful and relieved once we got him safely into his foster home. Henry was really nervous and insecure but that's understandable considering everything he's been through. But through at all of it he's been a very sweet boy.

He loves other dogs, is great with the cat in his foster home and he is bonding extremely well to his Foster mom. Henry is very "hand shy" which shows us that whoever had him before probably treated him poorly, but he's really learning to trust people and is a happy boy. Henry is honestly going to be an amazing addition to some lucky home. He's a very good natured dog and once bonded, he's very loyal. He's also potty trained and walks well on leash. Henry is still insecure so will need a slower transition into his new home so he can bond some with his new family before the move. He has separation anxiety because he doesn't want to be left but this has gotten much better in his foster home and will get better in his adoptive home too once he knows he's safe and gets into the routine.

We would love him to go with another social dog because he loves dogs and also finds confidence and security in them. He's very submissive so wants to follow. Henry is so special and sweet and loyal it will be well worth it I promise. Henry about a year and a half and weighs about 40 pounds.
