Facts about Jenna

  • Breed: Pit Bull Terrier Mix
  • Color: Brindle
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Sweet senior Jenna was left at an inner city pound recently when her owners could no longer care for her. After 9 years in their home, they were forced to part with Jenna, but faithfully visited her every day at the pound hoping desperately that she would be saved. That's when our staff came across Jenna and instantly fell in love. It's obvious that Jenna was a happy dog in her previous home. She lived with two other dogs and is very social. Jenna does suffer some eye infections and has limited vision, however she has no problem sniffing out her person and leaning in for a cuddle. She is a true love and has plenty of life in her to share with a very lucky family who can provide her with the companionship she craves for the rest of her years.

About Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc.

About Our Shelter...

Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc. is founded on the belief that all animals have a natural right to humane treatment including proper care and safe shelter. Due to overpopulation, there are insufficient homes for most cats and dogs. Some are lucky enough to find temporary shelter and a few even find permanent homes. However it is a devastating fact that the majority are either euthanized or forced to chance life without shelter.

To support our belief and to relieve the unnecessary suffering of animals, we shall:
1.Extend every effort to find, evaluate, and secure good adoptive homes for animals in our care.
2.Provide animals with medical services and behavior therapy to the extent of our ability.
3.Adhere to a “no-kill” policy: animals shall not be euthanized for the purpose of providing space for new animals.
4.Adhere to a 100% spay and neuter policy.
5.Maintain continuing humane education programs and in particular to schools.
