Facts about Mork

  • Breed: Maltese/Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Mork is an adorable but quirky little guy, 2 years old, who was recently picked up by a local animal control facility. When he came in he was very matted and scared. Once groomed, he began to settle and is learning to trust his friends at the shelter. He can still be nervous and protective of his space and resources. He would do best with owners who are experienced and dog savvy, in a calm adult household with owners who will respect his space and willing to give him the time he needs.

About Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc.

About Our Shelter...

Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc. is founded on the belief that all animals have a natural right to humane treatment including proper care and safe shelter. Due to overpopulation, there are insufficient homes for most cats and dogs. Some are lucky enough to find temporary shelter and a few even find permanent homes. However it is a devastating fact that the majority are either euthanized or forced to chance life without shelter.

To support our belief and to relieve the unnecessary suffering of animals, we shall:
1.Extend every effort to find, evaluate, and secure good adoptive homes for animals in our care.
2.Provide animals with medical services and behavior therapy to the extent of our ability.
3.Adhere to a “no-kill” policy: animals shall not be euthanized for the purpose of providing space for new animals.
4.Adhere to a 100% spay and neuter policy.
5.Maintain continuing humane education programs and in particular to schools.
