Facts about Mama

  • Breed: American Shorthair
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: C-15-08-24-04
  • Hair: Short
This sweetie is about 2-3 years old. We found her outside of a factory job site in spring of 2015, and unlike the other kitties there she would let us pet her and pick her up a bit. We took her into our home only to find out a bit later that "Oliver" was a female and pregnant. We started calling her Mama Oliver. She gave birth to 4 wonderful babies in our home. 3 or 4 have found their own forever home, but baby Dinah is still left behind with Mama. We would love for them to go to a home together, but it is not required. We just feel like Mama would do better with her last baby. They are together all the time. Mama is very sweet, but a bit shy. She does not do too well at adoption events. She will just curl up and hide in the corner. It would be best to come see her in her "home environment". Once she gets to know someone she opens up and loves to be petted and played with. She especially loves feet. She will play with your toes, and moving feet all day long.
Please contact with any questions or perhaps to set up a meet with her.

About St. Louis Pet Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

St. Louis Pet Rescue is a non-profit rescue group focusing on saving pets from local animal control facilities and other neglect situations.

We do not have a facility. All of the pets we rescue are in loving foster homes. Foster homes provide love, care training, and, if needed, rehabilitation to the pets. This also allows the pet to be more adjusted when they enter their forever home since they are used to a home environment (versus a kennel at the pound).
