Catniss's Story...
Catniss has a low adoption rate as she has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy(thickening of the muscle in her heart. She needs to be on $20 a month medication given to her 2-3 times a day. She does not struggle and takes it great its a 1/4 of a helps keep muscle from getting worse. She can live a long productive life with medication. We are not giving up on a cat that requires minor added care. She is to wonderful of a kitty to put down due to this. Many cats live with this condition..she is a wonderful friendly loving girl. She arrived with Ashlynn..if a home comes forth for Catniss it would be nice to see Ashlynn homed with her,but not required. They are not siblings but grew up together since kittens. Both had a rough start before coming here. Adoption fees are $50 each but if we can get an adopter for both girls it would be $75 for both...both are 2 1/2 years old

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Catniss, a Cedar Springs Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Cedar Springs, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Cedar Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cedar Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cedar Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cedar Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
