My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What is your name? Jasmine

How old are you? 11 months (a/o 9/21)

How much do you weigh? About 65 pounds.

What do you look like? I'm all white with one patch of brown over my left eye and ear, and have light green/blue eyes.

What do you like to eat? I love any food that is offered, but my foster mom gives me grain-free turkey and sweet potato kibble. I also enjoy bully sticks and meat bones.

What kind of personality do you have? I'm a little bit shy at first, but once I get to know a person I just want to hang out with them all the time! I'm eager to please and a good listener.

Describe your perfect day: I love playing outside with my foster dog sister, and snuggling on the couch with my foster Mama. I love to play with tennis balls and will amuse myself for hours bouncing and chasing them.

Do you know any tricks? I know sit, down, stay and am learning to shake.

What scares you? Loud noises, vacuum aka The Dog Eating Machine. I'm getting better about riding in the car, but still may get sick if I'm in the backseat. Shotgun rider only for this Princess, please.

Have you been around children? Do you like them? I love children, they're the best! I'm a good girl and don't jump up on them, and they have as much energy as I do!

Do you like cats? I've only seen a couple of cats out front and I scare them away with my tough sounding bark.

How do you feel about other dogs? I love my foster sister, Lucy, but sometimes growl at dogs I don't know who get too close. Proper introductions are a must when meeting other dogs.

If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be? Wherever my people are! I think my favorite is hanging out on the couch cuddled up with anyone willing to cuddle.

How is your health? I'm healthy as can be!

Who do you live with in your foster home and who is your closest companion? I live with my foster mom and dad and foster dog sister, Lucy. Mom and Dad are retired, so I'm rarely alone and love that. I'm really a people person.

Where do you hang out when you are home alone? Luckily for me that's not very often, but Mom will leave me in the family room with a treat and my bed and the TV on and I just patiently wait for her to come home. I'll go into the crate if I have to, but it's not my favorite place to be.

Where do you sleep? I sleep with my foster Mom and Dad. I snuggle up next to Mom. She says I'm a perfect bed partner!

Do you like walking on a leash? Yes!
Do you have any not-so-great habits that we should know about? For instance, do you bark or dig in the yard? I chewed my Mom's slipper once, but after I sw that it made her unhappy, I promised to never do that again.

Are you house trained? (Meaning do you go potty outside) Yes, of course! I do my personal business on the side of the house in the same place everyday!

Do you like water? I love water and drink lots! Bathes are okay. I'm kinda scared during them, but love to run around the house when I get out!

What do you love about your foster family? They give me tons of love and kisses constantly. I love to be loved on!

What was your life like before being brought into NorCal Bully Breed Rescue? I was very, very hungry, alone and so scared! I was found starving on the streets in Sacramento when a family took me in and started giving me food and water. They couldn't keep me though and NBBR helped them find a foster mom who could care for me. I was very scared and timid for a while until I learned I could trust them. I've really come out of my shell and gained a lot of confidence these past few months. I'm a really happy girl now! I just want to find my happily ever after with my forever family!

NorCal Bully Breed Rescue is a foster based rescue with foster homes spread all throughout the Sacramento area. We usually require our adopters to be within a 50 to 100 mile radius of us, depending on the dog, and depending on the home. This is because we need to do a yard check to guarantee that the potential adopter's yard is secure, and also have them be close enough should any behavioral issues arise, and the assistance of our trainer is needed. We are, however, willing to adopt out of our area, including the Bay Area, Tahoe, and even further. We've even adopted out of state on very special occasions. We try our best to match our dogs to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a "first come, first serve" basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular dog. Our adoption fees are based on the dog and range from $200-$350. In the case of senior dogs (6+ years), fees will be waived to the right home. This includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and deworming (if necessary). If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, you can visit our website at norcalbullybreedrescue.com and fill out an adoption application (from your home computer). Please allow at least 24 to 48 hours for a reply.

Jasmine's adoption fee is $350.
