Happy N. Yr. adopted 5-13-17's Story...
On the afternoon of the first day of 2016 Kay got a call from a Detroit fire fighter. He had a cat he'd been feeding and was looking for an adoption group to take him.

By the time the fire fighter was available it was dark. After determining the location of the fire station and finding a person to go with her, Kay went for the cat.

He is a VERY HANDSOME boy with a beautiful coat of hair.

He loves to have his jaw rubbed and be stroked. He also loves to sleep next to or on his foster person.

He loves having playmates.cats who will wrestle with him or a person who will make a shoe string move.

He is great with other cats.

He would have had a very short life if he had been left where he was. Now he needs someone to give him a real home.

If you might be the one for Happy New Year, call Kay: 313-891-2591

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in detroit already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a detroit breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in detroit paves the way for another one to be saved.
