Hailey is a medium sized, 1- 1 1/2 year old red heeler mix. She has been spayed and is UTD on all of her vaccines. This poor girl was found in Olmos Park where she was most likely dumped by her owner.
Hailey is UNBELIEVABLY intelligent. She would be the perfect partner for someone looking to do some obedience work. She is a great student and a really fast learner. She is very motivated by food.
She came to stay at Red Barn Kennels because she needed a little direction- she is a heeler:):) and she will take over if not given appropriate boundaries. She is very dog friendly and is used to behavioral test all of the dogs that come to stay at the kennel. She is very well socialized but would do just as well in an only dog home as she bonds to her person much more than another dog.
Hailey does mildly resource guard. She's shown great improvement in her time here. She never guards her food- only select toys and bones. We're working on it but seeing huge improvement. Please call Lisa to come and meet this cutie!!!210-464-0160.
Hailey is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio. The adoption fee is $150.00. An adoption application, home visit and adoption contract are all required. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age, microchipped, and wormed for internal and external parasites. If you would like more information or an adoption application, please email us at email@example.com.
Please note that visual breed identification in rescue dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only GUESSING at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
