90% of the dogs in our Rescue are puppymill throw aways, 10% are from Kill Shelters . All our adoption fees are spent at the Vets office and to buy high quality food. Our Adoption fee is $250 for a fully vetted adult dog. IF we get any pregnant females from the mills, which happens on occasion, puppies are $350 on a spay/neuter contract if they are adopted before the age of 16 weeks. They will be spayed/neutered if older than 16 weeks. The higher price on the few puppies we do get, help to pay the high vet bills that we get on some dogs and still adopt them out for $250 , if they get adopted.

While we try to send every dog home in 100% perfect condition, it's just not possible. The dogs visit the vet, but they are constantly exposed to other rescue dogs; in their foster homes, at the vet, at adoption events. Several common conditions such as kennel cough and some types of worms are very contagious and take several days or weeks to detect. We send a dog home - we think he's healthy - you think he's healthy - the vet cleared him less than a week ago... Then four or five days later a problem may surface. We can't help it.
Our contract requires you to take full and immediate financial responsibility for your new pet but we're honestly not out to 'stick' anyone with sick dogs or vet bills. We want to keep our good reputation and we want to do everything we can to encourage rescue in general. If you think your pet is ill or has a problem that should have been taken care of before you adopted him let us know. We'll be happy to set up an appointment with our vets and take care of the problem. We are not able to reimburse for visits to vets other than our own.
We provide detailed vet records with our dogs. If you don't see paperwork for a particular procedure assume it has not been done and if there is a problem, we are not aware of it. If you have a particular concern please ask.

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
