Important Note

Ranger is best friends with Dax. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Ranger is quite the charmer! He has worked his magic on many of our volunteers and even a special RESCUE dog. Here are just some of the things that they have to say about this handsome boy:
"Aww! I just love this little baby! Ranger has the most kindest, loving, caring heart. He's done so much for his friend and fellow RESCUE dog Dax and is always so well behaved when we spend time together. He loves to pick up sticks, cups, pine cones, etc. you name it and it goes in his mouth. Dax always tries to get his "toys" from his mouth and Ranger just runs in circles while Dax chases after him. He never loses his temper with him or gets annoyed when Dax gets the sticks from him. Ranger is the best and I just love his softer than soft coat and that adorable face!"
"Ranger walks excellent on the leash. He does not pull, but he likes to walk at quite a quick pace. Ranger is very curious and likes to inspect under every bush and tree. He also enjoys chasing birds and bunnies! Ranger is a handsome, sweet and playful little man! He has a big heart and would love to have a forever family that would not only play with him, but offer a lap for snuggle time."
"Ranger is a very special dog. Not only is he extremely intelligent, inquisitive, self-confident, but he has a heart ten times the size of him. He never ceases to amaze me with his kindness, tender care, and love that he shows towards Dax. I really believe in my heart that even though all of us volunteers are helping Dax try to come out of his shell, it's Ranger that has done the most for him. Dax really looks up to him and to him for so much. Ranger is always very patient with him and will share his sticks, rocks, etc.... that he picks up on our walks with Dax. What a complete package this little gentleman is with his loving heart and adorable face with those cute little floppy ears. Ranger is definitely one in a million!!"

Ranger is quite the package! We're not sure how he fits so much love into his little self!

Ranger as you can read is so special that we were able to use his wonderful gifts to help a fellow RESCUE dog. You see we rescued Ranger on the same day as we rescued another dog named Dax. Dax appeared to have not had any or very little human contact. When we put a leash on him he cried. Dax was willing to trust us but he was so very scared. Enter Ranger. With Ranger around, Dax was able to follow his lead, showing Dax that humans weren't all bad. Walking around with us wasn't the end of the world and could be quite fun. Ranger showed Dax how to be a dog and how to be a companion to humans. Now Dax loves people, going for walks are nice and playing with dog friends is pretty cool too! We're not sure our amazing volunteers could have done all that for Dax without our sweet Ranger's help!

The two boys still see each other in doggie day care and have a wonderful friendship. They do not have to be adopted together, however if you happen to be looking for two dogs, we'd be happy to discuss them together.

About Our Rescue Group...

RESCUE is a registered non-profit volunteer based animal rescue organization located in Maricopa County. RESCUE has no central facility and is volunteer run. Our focus is on the "kill lists." We were founded in 1995, and with the support of our volunteers and our community, we have found homes for over 11,000 dogs and cats. Our motto is for every animal adopted, we are back to rescue another. We depend on the community for our support and offer a variety of satisfying ways for you to get involved in our mission to end the killing of the orphaned dogs and cats. Please consider adopting, volunteering or donating.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a shelter. We are at various special events around the valley. Please see our Upcoming Events section on our website for further information. We look forward to meeting you and introducing you to some of our wonderful animals.

Our Adoption Process...

Fill out an online application, have an interview with a Matchmaker, if we are in philosophical alignment, set up a meet and greet and if all goes well finalize the adoption. Our service fee for dogs is $150 and $125 for cats. All our dogs and cats are spayed and neutered prior to adoption.
