Pixie's Story...
Sweet Pixie is a 3 year old Doxie mix. She came to us with her sister from a high kill shelter where both were at extreme risk because the were very pregnant! Pixie delivered NINE precious pups just 2 short days after coming into our care! That was many months ago and all of her pups have since been adopted and found loving homes but poor Pixie is still waiting on hers! She's a super sweet and loves to cuddle! She bonds with her person almost instantly! She does well with other animals and has done great with older kids but we haven't had her around younger ones! Her foster mom says she's housebroken and a complete sweetheart! She's utd, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) and spayed!

Puppies have a adoption fee of $150 which includes vet check, age appropriate shots, dewormer, rabies shot if atleast 16 weeks of age and spay! Puppies can not go to their adoptive families until they have had 2 sets of shots and been spayed. With an approved application a puppy can be reserved if a $50 non refundable deposit is put down! The deposit will be applied to the adoption fee and $100 will be due at the time of pick up! Get your applications in now!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pixie, a Grand Bay Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Grand Bay, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Grand Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
