I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Zaid's Story...
Zaid is a 2 year old Mastiff / German Shorthaired Pointer mix looking for a loving, forever home. He lives in Lagrangeville, NY, but would be happy to move to where you live, as long as you can come and meet his family first. Zaid loves children of all ages and sizes, and gets along just fine with dogs. He is not a big fan of cats. Zaid has been Neutered, Microchipped, Fully vaccinated, Crate Trained and House Broken.

You can adopt Zaid by himself, but he would very much love to be adopted together with his best friend, Zephyr.

Hi, My name is Zaid!

If you are looking for an amazing family dog, here I am! I am great big lug of love. I am am a nice mix of Mastiff and German Short Haired Pointer – 2 wonderful family dog breeds. I am already 2 years old, and although I still like to do some chewing, I am really sweet and well behaved boy.

I live in Lagrangeville, New York, north of NYC and west of Connecticut.

I have been neutered, am up to date on my shots and very healthy. I have been microchipped and am very well house-broken. I love children of all sizes and ages and am very gentle and sweet with them. I like to watch over them and make sure they are safe.

I am also a very good watch dog. Nobody is going to try and break into your house with me around, that’s for sure!

My owners love me very, very much. They are so sad to have to rehome me, but their long work schedules and an upcoming long distance move make this the best choice for me. I am in my crate way too much of the time. I would much rather be spending my time with people, following them around and showing them what a loving and devoted boy I am.

If you have a nice, big, securely fenced yard, and room in your heart and home for a 70 pound bundle of love, please consider offering me a home.

I can wait to wiggle my way in to your heart.

Love and Licks,
Zaid

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zaid, a New Haven Mastiff/German Shorthaired Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff/German Shorthaired Pointer for sale in New Haven, or seeking a Mastiff/German Shorthaired Pointer dog from a breeder in New Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff/German Shorthaired Pointer breeders who help with Mastiff/German Shorthaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
