Shadow (Spayed)'s Story...
"Shadow" is a lovely 4-year old female kitty who was surrendered by her owner on April 5, 2016 along with several other kitties who shared her previous home. "Shadow" has a sleek black velvet short smooth coat, a long tail, and a pretty face with a black button nose and long black whiskers. This beautiful girl has a calm, quiet disposition and has sweet, easygoing personality. We had snapped quick photos of "Shadow" the day she arrived so that potential adopters/rescue groups would know that she was in our shelter and needed another good home. "Shadow" was much more relaxed when we took these updated photos on April 10, 2016, and we believe they show her true beauty :) She is a statuesque beauty for sure! "Shadow" is blind in her right eye and is being listed as a 'Special Needs Cat' for that reason, but she doesn't realize she is any different from all of the other cats.. "Shadow" weighs 9 lbs., and she has already been spayed. She was given vaccinations and wormer on April 5, 2016. "Shadow" is currently at the WeLovPets Store, Lafayette Plaza, Marietta Ohio where she is available for adoption through the HSOV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow (Spayed), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
