Clea is a great dog who needs a dog savvy adopter; someone who understands dogs and who will appreciate her innate qualities but also recognize that she will do best with some guidance and structure. Fundamentally, Clea is a happy and friendly dog who loves to run and chase her ball in our fenced in dog park. She is great on the leash and enjoys her daily walks in the woods. She is also very affectionate but it can sometimes take a little time for Clea to warm up to new people. Once she is more familiar though, she will often come over for some cuddles and pets. Clea has bonded very nicely with a couple of the other dogs at the shelter but seems to do better with males than with females. Young children make her nervous so she is best suited to a home with adults only or with older, dog savvy kids. Clea cannot live with cats. Clea is willful but she is also smart and focused and with consistency and the right motivation she will pick up new commands quickly. We are confident that in the right home with the right adopter she will respond well and it won't be long before she is a loving and loyal companion.
