Cody's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, and up to date with shots.

Cody's Story...
Cody is a large, laid back, neutered white male Akita who comes to us from a large-scale commercial breeding facility. Despite what Cody has lived through, he remains a calm, loving boy with a heart of gold. He would love nothing more than to be your best friend. Cody has been taught to walk well on leash, he is housebroken and non destructive. We feel Cody can go to a home with the right female dog, after being properly introduced. This is a very polite and well-mannered fellow :)

If you feel Cody is right for your home, please go to our website at: www.bigeastakitarescue.net and fill out an online adoption application for me! Cody

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cody, a Toms River Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Toms River, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Toms River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toms River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toms River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toms River paves the way for another one to be saved.
