Millicent's Story...

Meet Millicent, one of our 'Harry Potter' babies born on July 24th.  Mama dog is a beautiful brindle color and looks like a very small American Staffordshire Terrier.  The daddy dog is a 50-60 lb long-legged German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix.  Millicent should be medium in size.   While her personality is still developing, Millicent is very playful (when not sleeping!), yet seems to have a calm disposition.   She will be available to go to her new home on September 24th.  Millicent  has been wormed, received her first puppy vaccinations & is on flea/tick/heartworm preventatives.  She will be microchipped and will be spayed on 9/22,  Minimum adoption donation:  $195.  You may apply to adopt now by visiting our website and completing the adoption application @ www.wishbonecaninerescue.org..

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Millicent, a Bloomington German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Bloomington, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Bloomington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bloomington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bloomington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bloomington paves the way for another one to be saved.
