Vixen's Story...

12/15/11-- Meet Vixen, a 16 week old, black brindle, female Corgi mix who weighs 12 pounds.  With those darling and huge ears she is super cute and endearing.  Vixen came from a very sad case indeed. Her family was found to be living in squalor and DCFS removed the kids from the home and an Humane Investigator took Vixen to an animal control facility.   vixen's foster says she is super sweet, loves cats, dogs and ignores their bunnies!  She is a super smart girl and is learning sit, down, come and off... she is nearly housebroken and is beginning her crate training.  She will make a wonderful addition to a very lucky family!  She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, fecal checked, dewormed, and is on flea /tick preventatives. Minimum adoption donation is $295.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vixen, a Bloomington Corgi puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi for sale in Bloomington, or seeking a Corgi puppy from a breeder in Bloomington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bloomington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bloomington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi breeders who help with Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bloomington paves the way for another one to be saved.
