McIntosh's Story...

McIntosh is a beautiful, two year old, male purebred Scottish Terrier of a brindle pattern.  His tail has been docked. He weighs sixteen pounds and is super social with people- since terriers often are best with older children he may best be in a home with children over the age of twelve.  He was found tied up to the fence of a shelter that was too full to take him in- the shelter staff had turned him away that very day. McIntosh’s minimum adoption donation is $345. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm and fecal checked, dewormed, and is on flea /tick and heartworm preventatives. To learn more about him and our adoption process, visit our website: www.wishbonecaninerescue.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

McIntosh, a Bloomington Scottie, Scottish Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Scottie, Scottish Terrier for sale in Bloomington, or seeking a Scottie, Scottish Terrier dog from a breeder in Bloomington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bloomington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bloomington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Scottie, Scottish Terrier breeders who help with Scottie, Scottish Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bloomington paves the way for another one to be saved.
