Dudley's Story...

Meet Dudley, a male Cocker Spaniel mix who is three years old. He weighs about 30 pounds ( a medium sized pooch). Dudley has a handsome coat of white with light apricot patches and he has an attractive flag tail that just loves to wag. He is good with other dogs and seems to be housetrained. This darling is mellow and well behaved.  It is hard to believe that he was relinquished by his owner because they tired of the routine of having a dog. His minimum adoption donation is $195. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm and fecal checked, dewormed, and is on flea /tick and heartworm preventatives. To learn more about him and our adoption process, visit our website: www.wishbonecaninerescue.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dudley, a Bloomington Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Bloomington, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Bloomington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bloomington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bloomington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bloomington paves the way for another one to be saved.
