Maylee's Story...

Meet Maylee, a 1 year old female cream colored Silky Terrier mix weighing just over 9 lbs.  Maylee came to us as a transfer from another animal care facility that was overcrowded.  She had been found abandoned in the stairwell of an apartment building.  No tags, no microchip and nobody came to claim her.  She seems to be a very sweet little dog who would do best in a home without young children.  She would definitely  love to find a new family soon.  Look at those ears... amazing!!  Maylee said to tell you she is working on her housetraining.  Minimum adoption donation $295.

Maylee has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm and fecal checked, dewormed, and is on flea /tick and heartworm preventatives.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maylee, a Bloomington Silky Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Silky Terrier for sale in Bloomington, or seeking a Silky Terrier dog from a breeder in Bloomington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bloomington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bloomington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Silky Terrier breeders who help with Silky Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bloomington paves the way for another one to be saved.
