Lynn's Story...

Meet Lynn, a 3 year old female Black and White purebred shih tzu. Lynn was dropped off at the pound by her owner after the family had a divorce. They thought it would be the easiest way for her to get a new home... maybe they didn't realize it was a kill facility. Thankfully, we found her in time to rescue and she is now hoping her new family will notice what a great temperament she has. She is such a cutie-pie, I'm sure she won't have to wait long. Minimum adoption donation $245. Lynn weighs 16 lbs, has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm and fecal checked, dewormed, and is on flea /tick and heartworm preventatives

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lynn, a Bloomington Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Bloomington, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Bloomington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bloomington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bloomington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bloomington paves the way for another one to be saved.
