Hooch's Story...

03/09/12--  Hooch came to us in desperate need. His time was up at the shelter where he was taken. So, of course we said we would take him and give him safe harbor. Hooch is a three year old, male American Pit Bull Terrier who was found tied up with an old belt in an alley. He has wounds that are healing well all over his body now.  He is still great with people and other dogs. He is just a big softy. We will get better photos soon. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm and fecal checked, dewormed, and is on flea /tick and heartworm preventatives. Minimum adoption donation is $145.

To learn more about him and our adoption process, visit our website: www.wishbonecaninerescue.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hooch, a Bloomington American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Bloomington, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Bloomington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bloomington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bloomington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bloomington paves the way for another one to be saved.
