DeeDee's Story...

DeeDee is a 10 month old, female Scottish Terrier/ Wire-haired Dachshund mix.  She weighs 9.8 pounds. She came to us after being left in a shopping cart in a parking lot. DeeDee is a very sweet little girl who can't wait to find her forever home. Her foster mom said this about her: 'Dee is a very nice, quiet little dog. She loves running with our other dogs and of course loves a good chew toy. DeeDee seems to not like being carried, but she walks very well on a leash. She does well with other dogs and with children of all ages. DeeDee is working hard on her housetraining- and is nearly there. She is cratetrained.' She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm and fecal checked, dewormed, and is on flea /tick and heartworm preventatives.  Her minimum adoption donation is $295.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DeeDee, a Bloomington Scottie, Scottish Terrier/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Scottie, Scottish Terrier/Dachshund for sale in Bloomington, or seeking a Scottie, Scottish Terrier/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Bloomington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bloomington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bloomington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Scottie, Scottish Terrier/Dachshund breeders who help with Scottie, Scottish Terrier/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bloomington paves the way for another one to be saved.
