Corrina's Story...

Corrina is a red,  one year old, female Chihuahua who weighs about 8 pounds. Corrina's family had  too many dogs to care for properly... they decided some had to go and Corrina ended up at the pound.  She is extremely friendly and quiet.  A very nice girl with a sweet personality.   Her foster mom said this about her: 'Corrina is a very good girl. She listens and doesn't bark. She is playful and silly among the people she knows- she does growl at herself in the mirror and loves to play a 'spider game. She loves to play and as long as an doggie introduction is done carefully she seems to get along with other dogs- especially with dogs her own size and even those somewhat bigger. Corrina walks politely on a leash, but she will need some training on basic commands. Corrina is a wonderful dog (and a snuggler) and is a low maintenance companion.'  Corrina does experience car sickness so would do best with a family who doesn't envision taking her on a long car trip with them.  Corrina is fine with short trips. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm and fecal checked, dewormed, and is on flea /tick and heartworm preventatives.  Her minimum adoption donation is $195.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Corrina, a Bloomington Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Bloomington, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Bloomington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bloomington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bloomington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bloomington paves the way for another one to be saved.
