Doggy's Story...
** Doggy is a purebred Taiwan Dog, not a Kai Dog**

Contrary to his pedigree, Doggy makes a terrible guard dog. Instead of scaring an intruder, he will greet them with loving kisses. He can't hunt, either... but he's pretty good at locating food stashes!

Doggy is a purebred Taiwan Dog, a valued rarity. His ex-owner spent $1600 to purchase him when he was a puppy, then abandoned him when he was just 10 months old because Doggy is “too sweet to be a guard dog”. All he does is give kisses to strangers. He was then sent to a shelter where many other dogs were awaiting adoption, with no luck. He received many applications to be a guard dog, and of those, only one applicant wanted him for company for exercise and hiking. Doggy went to that home, but was returned after just 4 months because the adopter claimed he was too busy to take care of him after only 4 months. That is when we stepped in to help this sweet fellow out. He has been in the care of one of our loving foster homes, learning how to be a polite family member. He is incredibly sweet, friendly, loves to be cuddled and play fetch. Doggy has been doing great and is now ready for his furever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Doggy, a San Francisco Kai Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Kai Dog for sale in San Francisco, or seeking a Kai Dog dog from a breeder in San Francisco.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Francisco already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Francisco breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Kai Dog breeders who help with Kai Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Francisco paves the way for another one to be saved.
