I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and not good with cats.

Bandit's Story...
Meet Bandit, a 20 pound, 3 year old Beagle. Bandit is current on his shots and neutered. He is also crate and housetrained. Bandit had been in a home but it did not work out. He would do best in a home without cats according to his prior owner but in his foster home he ignores the cat. Bandit likes to be around other dogs but he has to be the one to choose the dog. Some he likes and some he does not. Like most Beagles when he's outside he will put his nose to the ground and pick up on all kinds of scents. For that reason, he would prefer a fenced yard. Otherwise, he needs an owner who will walk him on a regular basis. He needs exercise. The perfect home for Bandit would be one with a stay-at-home person. He has some separation anxiety but not bad. He really wants to be with someone and if crated for too long becomes vocal. Bandit's adoption fee is $200.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bandit, a Lake Orion Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Lake Orion, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Lake Orion.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lake Orion already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lake Orion breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lake Orion paves the way for another one to be saved.
