Are you looking for a cute dog to brighten your day, every day? Then you will love the ‘For the Love of Rescues Calendar’ for 2017! We are honored that calendar sponsors chose to feature three of our rescue dogs...including Rylee...along with many others representing rescue groups across the country. Each month showcases dogs of all sizes and breeds with a special theme: February - BFF’s, Best Furry Friends; March - You Make Me LOL; September - Tongue Tied (notice our silly Cricket).

We are now taking orders for this unique calendar where rescue dogs help other rescue dogs! Donation price of $17.00 includes shipping and helps some very deserving dogs receive quality of life care they desperately need. All proceeds are earmarked for our “Forever Ours” program benefitting senior dogs and those with chronic medical conditions like Rylee.

To reserve a calendar, let us know by November 1st when our group order will be placed with the printer. Purchase by check to the address below or via PayPal at Paws2Heart@Bellsouth.Net. For questions and orders, email OpenArms4Dogs@Bellsouth.Net or phone 386-597-4799. Your calendar will be mailed on November 7th so you will be all set for the brand new year. Be sure to include your address.

Thank you for your support of our rescue dogs!

Rylee Update: We continue to fundraise for Rylee, our 6 year old, 6 pound bundle of a Chihuahua girl. She has a cataract in one eye and detached retina in the other eye. A donation in any amount for her vet care is very much appreciated. See information following.
Rylee’s adoption status remains unknown pending a better understanding of her medical prognosis and what that means for a future adopter. However, all donations are earmarked for ongoing eye prescriptions, vet monitoring visits and cataract surgery on her left eye when recommended by her doctor.

If you would like to make a donation in any amount, there are two ways to do so: via our PayPal account at (Choose the ‘send money to friends or family’ option tab and no service fee will charged to our rescue group). Or, via a check or money order made to Open Arms for Rylee, 137 London Drive, Palm Coast Florida 32137.

Your kindness is so very much appreciated! For more information or if you would like updates on Rylee’s progress , send a message to our rescue email address We will let you know how she is doing!

About Open Arms Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

*MAKING A DIFFERENCE…….ONE DOG AT A TIME* Open Arms, a non-profit dog rescue organization, is the “last resort” for shelter dogs that are due to be euthanized because of over-crowding and cost of needed medical attention. We also rescue neglected, abused and abandoned dogs found in puppy mills, on the streets, or with owners that surrender their dogs for any number of reasons. These lucky dogs arrive in foster care and live safely in the homes of volunteers. Each receives vaccinations, spay/neuter, dental, microchip, good nourishment, training and love-love-love before placement with wonderful families.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Open Arms rescue dogs live safely in the homes of our volunteers. They are loved just like one of our own fur kids. When a photo and description on our site simply melts your heart, please contact us. Once the adoption process begins, an appointment can be made for you to meet the dog in its foster home.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption process begins when you contact us after finding a dog on our site that calls to your heart. A phone interview followed by completion of an adoption application is next. A meet-and-greet is arranged and if there is a "connection" by both person(s) and dog, a contract is signed. An adoption donation (usually $150)helps to offset the dog's veterinary expenses. Before an Open Arms dog becomes an official member of the family, a home visit is made to ensure the dog's well-being and safety.
