Ginger (FOSTER ONLY)'s Story...
TEMPORARY FOSTER NEEDED: Ginger is in need of a temporary foster home. Her mom is unable to take care of her at this time due to a hardship. She’s looking for temporary placement for Ginger and her brother, Maximus, until she can get back on her feet and in a better situation to care for them. Ginger and Max do NOT have to be placed together.

Ginger is approximately 10 years old, spayed, declawed, and current on vaccines. She is an orange color with some black markings. She gets along with cats but has not been around dogs. Ginger will play with anything: she likes toys, catnip, feathers, corn husks, and treats. If you are able to help, please contact Leslie at 717-991-3967, cjohnson1948@gmail.com, or lezole123@gmail.com.

PLEASE NOTE: This is just for a temporary foster situation. Ginger is NOT available for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger (FOSTER ONLY), a Carlisle Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Carlisle, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Carlisle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carlisle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carlisle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carlisle paves the way for another one to be saved.
