Harvey is a cocker spaniel long haired dachshund mix, approximately 18 lbs, 3 yrs old. Harvey was found last year roaming the streets with no ID or micro chip. He went to a home with a small child and the family moved from California to Seattle shortly after they adopted him. Harvey started exhibiting some aggressive behavior that the family was unable to address so they gave up on disciplining him and the behavior escalated. The family could no longer keep him so he is back in California.

His current caretaker already has the maximum amount of animals allowed and cannot keep Harvey. He desperately needs a home or will be taken to the shelter. He is still showing some aggressiveness towards strangers and sometimes family members. When he attaches to just one family member, his behavior improves (attaching to one person is sometimes typical of the cocker spaniel breed).

His aggressive behavior appears to be territorial and resource guarding (possessive of toys, food, etc). Harvey needs to be with one person, no other pets or children and does need some behaviorial training to bring out his potential of being a well-behaved pup.
