Charlie III's Story...
Hi y’all, Charlie here. I’m a 61 pound, 3 year old boy and I’m feeling very lucky to be here with AGB. You see, I was in a shelter in Mississippi and about to be put to sleep. Well, this nice Veterinarian from North Alabama found out about me and got me out of that shelter right away. He found a foster family to keep me until he could find a rescue to take me. AGB came to the rescue and they say they will find someone who will love me and take care of me forever. I had some red skin and itchy ears, but AGB took care of that for me and I’m in good health now. I get along well with big and small dogs and I pretty much ignore cats. I love to play with toys, go for walks and even runs. I am good on a leash and very friendly. I love belly rubs! I’m housetrained, good in the car and I know how to sit, shake, and come when called. If you're looking for a great guy like me to be your new best friend, just submit your adoption application to AGB and make sure you tell them you want to meet me, Charlie.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie III, a BIRMINGHAM Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in BIRMINGHAM, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in BIRMINGHAM.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BIRMINGHAM already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BIRMINGHAM breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BIRMINGHAM paves the way for another one to be saved.
