Lilly's Story...
Lilly is a sweet girl with the most beautiful eyes and cute orange spot on the top of her head. She was rescued from a high-kill shelter in February 2016 with her four kittens, Sundae, Gingerbread, Cocoa, and Cookie. With Lilly, you get the best of both worlds – playful and affectionate. She loves to pounce and chase her cat toys. She also appreciates when you pet and rub her and has been known to reach out and take your hand if you stop too soon. This laid-back kitty is not a big complainer and appreciates any attention you give to her. We estimate her date of birth as 02-01-2014.

All of ours cats have been Feline leukemia and feline aids tested negative, spayed or neutered, vaccinated with FVRCP and FELV, rabies vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. Lilly has an adoption fee of $75.

The first step to adopting any feline is to fill out an application at http://acadianaanimalaid.org/adopt/cat-adoption/application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilly, a Carencro Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Carencro, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Carencro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carencro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carencro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carencro paves the way for another one to be saved.
