LEROY's Story...
Check out LEROY. He's a year old Great Dane mix who was found strolling along Georgetown Rd. in Georgetown. LEROY is a gentle giant. He walks by your side, obeys commands, asks you to pet him and is very happy to lay down next to you. He appears to be housebroken too. LEROY loves to play with other dogs. This his second full day at the Harrison County Dog Pound in Cadiz and no one has come looking for him yet. That is clearly their loss because this guy is wonderful. LEROY isn't neutered.

HARRISON COUNTY DOG POUND, 28900 Toot Road Cadiz, Ohio 43907, (740) 942-4080. $35.00 adoption fee which includes the dog license tag for the year. Effective June 1, 2015: Hours: Monday - Friday 10AM-4PM; Saturday 9AM-2PM; Sundays and holidays CLOSED.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LEROY, a Cadiz Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Cadiz, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Cadiz.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cadiz already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cadiz breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cadiz paves the way for another one to be saved.
