Klee Kai's Story...
Klee Kai is a 3 year old, purebred Siberian Husky. She has a lot of energy and she is as sweet as can be! Her face feels like velvet and she loves to give kisses. Whenever she gets excited, she prances around with her front feet!

Klee is house and crate trained. While she doesn't bark much, she'll howl to tell you she's excited or wants to go outside! She knows basic commands and has learned a few others by watching her foster family's dogs. She is very intelligent, and is a quick learner when it comes to new tricks!

She needs an active home with an above ground, securely fenced-in yard and a family that knows how to cater to the special needs of this beautiful, high-maintenance breed. She is fostered with other dogs and kids, both of which she does well with, but is still learning how to play with other pups! Due to her activity level, she will do best with children over 8, as they're stable on their feet. Klee Kai is a little overly friendly with the cats, so a cat home free is required! If you want to make Klee Kai a part of your family, apply online today!

All of our dogs come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: http://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. You will receive an automated confirmation once your application is successfully submitted. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the dog you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call ASAP.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where dogs can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting a dog in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Thanks so much for caring about a needy animal!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Klee Kai, a Cincinnati Siberian Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Siberian Husky dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky breeders who help with Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
