Why Zeus? Because this guy is a silly goose of a dog who has no idea how tough he looks on the outside. He'll do anything for a treat and his crazy antics are always good for a laugh. Zeus also has a unique way of bonding with children, to include those with special needs. He was wonderfully therapeutic to an autistic child in foster.

While he really prefers not to interact with other dogs, Zeus walks in a nice, controlled manner on a leash and can sit/focus on command. Zeus will arrive with a FREE TRAINING package to help him continue to practice these good manners when his adopters take the reigns.

Zeus needs to be an only pet and does not thrive in the unpredictable chaos of 'off-leash' life and feels the need to proactively defend himself. Regular leash walks and/or a nice fence yard suit him just fine. He doesn't want to have to worry about chasing off any strange dogs or cats.

This chunky hunk is quite simply a joyful people dog, who will absolutely love his people to bits and absorb all the love they give. Won't you consider springing this big guy out of boarding and into a home? He is so deserving and so ready to be your big lazy couch companion.

See Zeus' videos on YouTube -- isn't he a good lil gentleman?

About Doggie Harmony New England

About Our Rescue Group...

Doggie Harmony was founded in Atlanta in 2009 by Liz Mansour and Jamie Sprague, a couple of neighbors seeking to help stray dogs that turned up locally.

From there, Doggie Harmony expanded to other neighborhoods and other people who found dogs and eventually, it was realized that nearly every neighborhood in Georgia found strays, most of which ended up in our grossly over-populated county shelters. With an estimated 300,000 unwanted pets destroyed yearly in Georgia shelters, we realized we had to find more homes to put them in.

In 2012, we began building partnerships with northeastern rescues and developed a consistent process for matching our dogs to great people and delivering those dogs to their homes up there. To become even more self-sufficent and less burdensome on our northeastern friends, we decided to launch Doggie Harmony Northeast.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our dogs travel from Atlanta, Georgia directly to their adoptive homes in the northeast. Our transporter drives up the coast from DC, all the way to Kittery, Maine.

While you can't meet our dogs prior to adoption, we will speak with you extensively, provide videos, share trainer evaluations and offer proof of vetting to ensure our dogs are a match for your home.

Those that aren't, would be returned to us here in Atlanta at no cost to the adopter.

Our Adoption Process...

Those interested in dogs on our site are asked submit an application that we share with this dog's current caretaker. The caretaker reviews it to see if the pup would make a good fit for your home and if so, they will follow up with a phone interview.

If both caretaker and applicant agree that the dog is a great fit, a contract is signed between the parties and an adoption fee of $300 is collected via PayPal. This adoption fee covers the cost of transport and also ensures the dog has all of it's basic vetting to include spay/neuter, shots, etc.
