My name is Eleanor and at the age of 10 years old my partner Rigby and I were abandoned at a north shore pound. One of the CAA Rescue volunteers on a Sunday night saw the posting about us and she just knew she had to try and help. Thankfully may other volunteers stepped in to help donate their time, money and transport skills so that the following day we joined CAA in rescue together
I am a really good girl and foster mama cries a lot when she holds me. I am not sure why though… maybe they are happy tears; happy that she saved me when no one wanted me
Maybe they are sad tears; sad because at such an age I found myself abandoned and alone sitting in a cage with rotting teeth with no chance of adoption
But none of that matters anymore because I was rescued and I am safe
I am a shy girl at first but if you love to hold me I warm up soooo fast. I love to be held and love to snuggle with gentle soft pets. I am especially quiet and not overly vocal whatsoever
Yes I am doing my business in the home in foster care right now; we will see what the weather change brings me and my house training. I may also just be really confused with all these changes in my life so you will have to be patient with me because as an old lady no matter what I will have accidents in the home
I am an old gal who enjoys the company of my partner Rigby very much. We often snuggle together when he is not off being adventurous somewhere. He has a lot more spunk than I do! I pay no attention to the other dogs and cats in foster care. I just lay in my bed watching them and their antics
I like my comfy bed and blankie while my foster mom is at work and just sleep quietly all day waiting for her return
I have a little bit of weight to lose to be in better shape because when I lay down for too long it takes a little time for my back legs to have the get up and go but once they get going I am very happy to be a part of the action in foster care.
I am looking for a quiet retirement home where I can be loved for all my days, where I will be a little spoiled and a lot pampered. I am really just the sweetest of hearts with not one ounce of meanness or aggression in my bones.

A 3-Step process to adopt one of our foster dogs.
1. Fill the adoption form. It might seem long, but it’s the best way to find the right dog for you and your family!
2. We’ll arrange a meeting with the foster family of the dog you want to meet so you can see if s/he’s the right one for you.
3. If you decide to move forward, you’ll be asked to agree to a home visit, fill-in and sign an adoption contract and adoption fee is waived for Eleanor.
