This tiny terrier is Sophia, a 3 year old girl Norfolk terrier mix that was surrendered to our Newark facility in July 2015 when her family could no longer care for her. She was transferred to us at AHS Lacey in the hopes of getting noticed by that special someone that understands her and can offer her the wonderful life that she deserves. Sophia really needs some patience and understanding. She came from a home where a child constantly taunted her and bothered her to the point of Sophia finally lashing out and of course then, she was given up. She now has some trusts issues due to her past experiences so Sophia will need an experienced and patient home where she will get direction and training. She is a well behaved little girl but has difficulties with meeting new people. She can overcome this and once Sophia bonds with you, she loves you for life. Sophia will need a commotion-free home with no children and though she may bark at other dogs initially, she may be just fine with another dog given the time to get to know them. Sophia is a little lovebug when she knows and trusts you and she'll bring so much joy into your life....she just needs the chance. File#25983 7/1/15
