Bandit's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, and up to date with shots.

Bandit's Story...
Bandit is a very sweet male dog. He is 5 years old. He is 16 pounds. Bandit's owners were very sad about giving him up, but they knew it was the right thing. They were an aging couple who needed to focus on their own health needs.

Bandit is actually pretty perfect! He's housebroken, runs his foster's home. He eats well and is very independent! He loves walks and rides in the car.

As most Shih Tzus are best in adult homes or a home in which older children are present, we are requiring a home in which children are over 12 years of age.

Because we just got him, he still needs to go to the vet and get his checkup. He is neutered and up-to-date on shots, though!

If you are interested in Bandit, please fill out the online application at:

We will ONLY respond when an application has been delivered and approved. We are an all volunteer organization who mostly all work full-time jobs. Please be patient with our process. Thank you!

His adoption fee is $125.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bandit, a Hillsboro Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Hillsboro, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Hillsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
