Meet one of the parrots that just transferred to AHW from another shelter!


This big gorgeous girl is Honey!! She is a moluccan cockatoo, DNA confirmed female. She is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She is one of the sweetest, most wonderful moluccan toos you'll ever find in a shelter! There is one very lucky family out there that will be very fortunate to add her to the home!

She is still under evaluation, but disease testing has come back clean, so she is ready to meet adopters. At this time, we believe she is a candidate for a family setting, we have not seen any negative behaviors. She is the typical needy too that wants lots of attention, so she would be best in a home where someone is available most of the day to keep her company.


The Adoption Process: Fill out our online adoption application which can be found on our website, www.ahelpingwing.org (no phone calls please). A representative from A Helping Wing will be in touch to answer all questions and discuss setting up a first visit. Multiple visits are required before adoption. Although there is no application fee, there is an adoption fee, which covers food, medical care, etc., and allows us to continue our efforts in rescuing, caring for, and finding homes for all of our birds. All birds at AHW have been vetted and have negative tests for any disease before they are made available for adoption!
