Dixie's Story...
Dixie is a beautiful 3-5 year old Doxie mix who came to us extremely pregnant from a high kill shelter. Dixie weighs 19lbs now and is such a sweet girl. She does well with other dogs but she can be alpha from time to time. Dixie does well in the house and will use a doggy door to go outside. Small toddlers do make her nervous. Shes a lap baby and bonds to her person quickly! She's utd, hw tested and will be spayed before placement!

Puppies have a adoption fee of $150 which includes vet check, age appropriate shots, dewormer, rabies shot if atleast 16 weeks of age and spay! Puppies can not go to their adoptive families until they have had 2 sets of shots and been spayed. With an approved application a puppy can be reserved if a $50 non refundable deposit is put down! The deposit will be applied to the adoption fee and $100 will be due at the time of pick up! Get your applications in now!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Grand Bay Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Grand Bay, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Grand Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
