My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Méo, a very handsome 2-year-old mix of what appears to include German Shepherd and Boxer, with likely a few other genes in the pool. Méo loves his people, loves to get petted, and is very affectionate despite showing signs of having been mistreated before he came to Kiko’s care. He enjoys going in the car, whether it is for a short or a long ride, and sits quietly looking out the window. Méo is very good on leash, but he prefers getting his exercise playing with his foster in the backyard. He loves a good game of chase and playing with a ball; he plays very nicely, and will stop when told when playtime is over. Méo is housetrained and can be left alone without touching anything. Méo does not seem to be good with other dogs, probably due to a lack of socialization in his younger days. His foster has been working on this gradually, but he would not be a good candidate for a dog park or a home with another dog. He has shown a bit of stress when first seeing children, but settles down nicely and is gentle once introduced to them. Méo will do best in a quiet adult home or one with older children. He will need a large fenced backyard without much stimulation on the other side of the fence. Méo is very energetic, and requires a lot of exercise. He is also very smart, and thrives on training and mental stimulation. Please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website if you have solid dog experience and the right environment to offer Méo.
