Excuse me, do you have a moment to pet a kitty?
He's a very nice kitty, I assure you! Super friendly, very playful - an all around excellent kitty!
But sadly, he does not get enough pets. His little head needs to be touched. His sweet little ears need to be rubbed. His darling little chin needs to be tickled.
You see, this poor, deprived cat is stuck in a shelter. And he only gets cuddled three, maybe four times a day! It's so tragic. But you, yes YOU can make a difference in this disadvantaged cat's life. With only 10, no 12, I mean, with only 27 pets a day, you can make a little shelter cat feel loved! Yes, just 29 pets and six cuddles per day will make all the difference for this furry little fellow!
Of course, it's kind of hard to visit the shelter so often, so we have a simple system where you can take this cat home to pet and cuddle at your convenience! Why, you can even play with this cat! Laughter and love right in your own home! One simple adoption and all of this can be yours!
Who is this excellent, yet tragically disadvantaged cat? My name is Leo! I mean, HIS name is Leo. Yes, he, um, he is a great guy who, uh, has the... same name as I do. And he needs cuddles. And pets. Lots of them. So... you should adopt him. And play with him a lot. And love him. So much. Because he'll love you so much. Promise.
So! If you know of anyone with some extra cuddles to spare for a really nice cat who could really use them, won't you please send them my - I mean, HIS - way? Tell them to ask for Leo - that's... um... oh heck, that's me!
Thank you!

Leo has been vaccinated, wormed, spayed/neutered and tested negative for FELV/FIV. If you would like to adopt this cat, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays) All cats must leave the shelter in a carrier. If you do not bring one with you, one must be purchased at the shelter if available for $5.

About Medina County SPCA

About Our Rescue Group...

The Medina County SPCA, founded in 1985, is a nonprofit organization supported solely by private donations and grants. We are not a part of any national associations or animal welfare groups. We are committed to sheltering and finding homes for sick, injured, abused and abandoned animals of Medina County.

Over the years, we have served thousands of injured,
abandoned, abused and neglected animals throughout Medina County. We also focus on pet-owner education and animal abuse prevention. Though the MSPCA is volunteer-based, Humane Officers employed by the MSPCA are used to investigate and pursue cases of animals in need.

Besides having a shelter full of animals, the Medina County SPCA has two or three cats at the Medina Petsmart and the Strongsville Petco on a regular bases. On the first Saturday of each month we also hold onsite adoptions at the Medina Petsmart.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption fees are: Cats over a year old $60, Kittens 6 months to 1 year $75, Kittens under 6 months $85, (ALL ADOPTED CATS MUST LEAVE THE SPCA IN A CARRIER) Dogs over a year old $150, Puppies under a year are $195. In an effort to help find some of our longer term animals a home, some adoption fees are reduced which will be noted on the animal's profile.
