PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

6/13/16 update: Aubree is still available for adoption and she is the sweetest, friendliest girl! She is the largest of her litter and at 4 months old now, she weighs about 18lbs. The vet estimates that she will be about 30lbs when grown. She is a good size- not too big and not too small. :)

4/13/16 These sweet babies were rescued from a hoarding situation. We took in a total of 43 puppies and adult dogs. Sadly, we were unable to rescue the mama of these babies, but we are still working with the owner to get her spayed so at least she will not continue having more babies. The mama of this litter is a Min Pin and weighs about 12lbs. It is unimaginable that she had 11 puppies in one litter but she did. I can't imagine what she must have gone through. These babies are beautiful and sweet natured and are now healthy and ready for a home. We estimate their date of birth 2/14/16. We do not know what dad is but judging from their tiny size, I expect these babies will be on the smaller side like mom. These babies are located in Arkansas and can be transported out of state once adopted. For more info, email

About Adopt-A-Stray - MA

About Our Rescue Group...

Adopt-A-Stray Rescue was founded in Jan. 2010 by Kelley Prichard. Kelley saw a need for the unwanted pets at the local Animal Control to be given a chance at life. Adopt-A-Stray is a non profit (pending) Rescue group. We routinely pull dogs (and sometimes cats) from the euthanasia list at our local kill shelter. We also take in strays and owner surrenders as space/resources permit. Most of our available pets are located in ARkansas and are transported to the northeast once they are adopted or have a foster home to go to. The transporters we use most often are Got Orphans Transport ( and Alpha Dog Transport ( All pets are given age appropriate vaccinations and are seen by our vet prior to going to their new homes. Please email for more info on our adoption procedures.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Call for an appointment. Since we dont have a physical shelter, it is important that you call or email before trying to meet the pets. We have most of them in foster homes, some here in Arkansas and some in the Northeast.

Our Adoption Process...

I required that all pets in the home are current on veterinary care - this includes vaccinations and heartworm prevention, minimum.
I require that every pet in the home (ok, maybe not fish and reptiles) be spayed/neutered unless there is a valid medical reason not to.
I have an adoption application and contract for each pet.
My adoption fee varies, depending on what type of pet, breed, age, and medical condition.
