Elsie's Story...
This beautiful gold and white kitten is Elsinore, Elsie for short. She is just 7 months old and still has some growing to do. Elsie has several sides to her purrsonality—she is both sweet and loving as well as a wild and crazy tail -chasing, toy retrieving, aerial flipping good time girl. Like Forrest Gump’s box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get with Elsie. She will keep you entertained and then snuggle later. Elsie likes to follow people around the house. . Once she has established she is there for the party, let the good times roll…..She loves to play with other kittens - older cats, not so much. Elsie has been spayed, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, is up to date on her shots, and has been
microchipped. She is litter box trained but still needs to learn what items she is allowed to sharpen her claws on and which ones she cannot—that is best taught in her furever home so she becomes familiar with her own house and things that are off-limits. If you are interested in meeting Elsie contact Shannon@sierrpacificfurbabies.com or at 707-441-9502. An application, safety home check, and adoption fee of $80 is required. Discount to seniors, military/veterans and on disability. You will fall in love with this little doll.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elsie, a Eureka Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Eureka, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Eureka.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Eureka already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Eureka breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Eureka paves the way for another one to be saved.
