My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kahuna is a friendly boy who gets along well with dogs, adults, and children alike. He is house trained and learns commands very quickly. He is a snuggle bug when he is not busy running and playing around. Kahuna was found stray in the mountains and he has been abandoned before. He is just looking for someone to love him forever. Kahuna is extremely well behaved but does have a food allergy that will likely require special food.

Kahuna was found as a stray in the mountains of Tennessee. Luckily, he was microchipped and we were able to find his owner. Turns out, his owner had purchased him and a few of his siblings from a flea market at one day old, when the seller claimed the mom didn't want them. She bottle fed and raised them all - they were vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped. She found a home for Kahuna, but 5 days later he was dumped at the shelter, even though she stressed the return to her if it didnt work out. She found him another owner, who in turn, dumped him in the mountains of Tennessee, where a volunteer found him, and the rest is history. :) Kahuna is on the lookout for his forever home; a home that will not give him away, or dump him anywhere. Kahuna is extremely well behaved, and just wants someone to love him. We are working through his itchy skin, but he may have a food allergy, which may require special food.

If you're interested in adopting, please visit our website at www.c2cnd.org & click on "adoption process" to fill out an application! Adoption fee for pups up to 2 years of age is $250, 2+ years is $225, & giant breeds is $350 - this covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, heartworm test (if old enough to be tested & treatment if necessary), and spay/neuter.

[Due to puppies often being in high demand & our thorough adoption process (resulting in prolonged wait times for long-distance families), puppies under the age of 6 months will be available to local adopters only. We apologize for any inconvenience.]
